Our Roster
The NYPD Finest Softball team is comprised of active and retired officers from across New York City's police precincts. United by their love of the game and commitment to community service, these athletes represent the best of the NYPD both on and off the field.
Michael Torres
15-year veteran of the NYPD serving in the 75th Precinct. Michael has been with Finest Softball for 8 seasons and brings heat from the mound.
James O'Brien
Detective in the Manhattan South division. James is the backbone of our defense and a leader both on and off the field.
Carlos Mendez
Sergeant in the Transit Bureau with 12 years of service. Carlos brings power to the lineup and consistency at first.
David Kim
Officer in the 109th Precinct. David's quick reflexes and smart plays make him invaluable in the middle infield.
Anthony Russo
Highway Patrol officer and team captain. Anthony leads by example with his range and clutch hitting.
Marcus Johnson
Detective in the Major Crimes unit. Marcus anchors the hot corner with his strong arm and quick reactions.
Patrick Murphy
20-year veteran serving in the Emergency Services Unit. Patrick's experience shows in his steady outfield play.
Robert Chen
Officer in the Community Affairs division. Robert covers ground like no other and is our leadoff hitter.
William Davis
Sergeant in the 44th Precinct. William brings a cannon arm and power bat to the right side.
Thomas Kelly
Detective in the Intelligence Bureau. Thomas can play anywhere on the field and always delivers in clutch moments.
Steven Martinez
Officer in the 83rd Precinct. Steven is our relief ace with pinpoint control and veteran composure.
Brian Walsh
Lieutenant in the Patrol Borough Manhattan North. Brian's bat speaks for itself with team-leading RBIs.
