NYPD Finest Softball brings together active and retired officers united by their love of the game and commitment to making a difference. Every tournament we enter, every game we play, and every event we host is an opportunity to represent the values of the New York Police Department: integrity, service, and excellence.
Our organization operates as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, ensuring that sponsorships and donations directly support our charitable initiatives, including scholarships for children of fallen officers, youth athletic programs, and emergency assistance for first responder families.

NYPD Finest Softball founded by a group of officers who shared a love of the game
First regional tournament victory at the Tri-State Police & Fire Games

Captain Michael DiSanto
A 25-year veteran of the NYPD, Captain DiSanto has led Finest Softball since 2018. His vision for combining athletic excellence with community service has transformed the organization into one of the premier first responder softball programs in the nation.
Lieutenant Sandra Reyes
Lieutenant Reyes brings 20 years of NYPD service and a passion for youth athletics. She oversees tournament operations and has been instrumental in expanding the team's charitable initiatives to support families of fallen officers.
Sergeant Thomas McCarthy
With a background in finance before joining the force, Sergeant McCarthy manages the organization's finances with precision and transparency. He ensures every sponsor dollar goes directly toward the team's mission.
Detective Angela Washington
Detective Washington handles communications, media relations, and community outreach. Her dedication to building bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve is central to the organization's values.
Officer James Chen
Officer Chen coordinates logistics for all tournaments and team events. His attention to detail and organizational skills keep the team running smoothly, from equipment management to travel arrangements.
Retired Captain William O'Brien
After 30 years of distinguished service, Captain O'Brien now dedicates his time to strengthening relationships between Finest Softball and community organizations, schools, and youth programs throughout New York.
Sergeant Maria Gonzalez
Sergeant Gonzalez leads the organization's philanthropic efforts, coordinating fundraising events and ensuring donations reach families in need. Under her leadership, charitable giving has increased by 150%.
Detective Robert Kim
